Changing the sky

Does anyone know how to make the sky change to night itme in bloodgulch?????

Just extract the sky's dds files with HMT, get the dds plugin, edit in photoshop, import back in. And that's all you need to change the sky textures.
To change the overall lighting on the map, you'll need the sky plugin (which I couldn't find even when it first came out, but should be somewhere) and just change the sky color to something darker.
Or you can darken every texture in bloodgulch, if you want.

but how do you just switch skys from mp levels to mp levels??? or can you do that??

That's doing it the hard way. All you do is batch extract the Blood Gulch map. Then open up Gephyrophobia, click Save Recursive Meta, and extract the gephyrophobia sky. When you rebuild bloodgulch make sure you look in the Gephyrophobia_night_sky folder (or something like that) which will have two files in it. add them both. then when you open up your rebuilt map in blood gulch, go to bitmaps and trade out the proper elements. for examps. where it says haloring_afternoon, trade it for haloring_night and do that for all of them. here. go to

Although he's right when he says you need the sky pluggin to darken the rest of the map. easy stuff though

ur all doing it the hard way, fook man all ya do is copie the meta of the cyborg's reflective cubemap thingy and paste it in to the afternoon sky

look, all you have to do is change the sky bitmaps to make the sky night, then change all the fog values to O for the Blood Gulch Sky. then change Start distance to 0, the other one to like .001, and Max thickness to .88, and you just made BG at night. like I said, if you want an actual example, go to

That'd be the easiest, and probably better looking way to do it. Can't believe I didn't think of it before. I rarely play the night maps anyway.

You cant really see too good in night maps.The lighting is off and stuff

u guys got 2 start thinking logically!,
Okay go into a map that has night sky, export the .dds, and import it into the map that ur using (import it into the normal sky .dds file)
