Active Camouflage Vehicles?

I know the concept sounds cool and it is, but hard to do. So far, the best I've been able to do is create glass vehicles that are barely visible which is okay, but I'd still really like to have active camo ones. I once swapped active camo for a tank and got the exact effect I wanted. And when you shot it, it appeared briefly just like when you shoot an active camo biped, but when I tried to upload it to my server, it didn't work, and completely visible tanks continued to spawn in where the active camo was. Has anyone managed to do this? Hint: I've already tried the cryo glass bitmaps and active camo bitmaps. Thanx in advance!

what exactly do you want to know, how to active camo vehis, or how 2 get you current one working?
to make them camod, swaping some shaders should work?
never really tried this myself.
But search, it'll be around somewhere

Just how to get active camo vehicles without replacing one of the powerups. lol. not sure why it will do it sometimes, but I'm sure theres another way that will work like replacing regular skins where it always works.

ok, nomatter what you do the tank is going to respawn, but if you switch it with a rockeetauncher it works to, also try it with the fuel rod gun

if I remember correctly..you do active camo vehiocles by swapping some shaders...but I could be wrong...

did manage to use the shaders to get a glass tank which ended up looking pretty cool. lol. Partially invisible with a purple tint, but I still haven't managed to find something I can swap out the shader model for the vehicles for. With the active camo shaders, it turns out to be the color of those little multicolored globes inside the powerups. But I will definitely try the rocket launcher and fuel rod swap. Thank you both!!

The advice is much appretiated

Ok, I went ahead and swapped the rocket launchers in infinity out for rocket warthogs, but when i found them they were visible. Does the active camo skin itself have an actual shader or is it just the powerup? I'm sure it's there somewhere. lol. or maybe active camo is done with a combination of bitmaps and shaders? sounds like a question the Sphinx would ask

to make vehicles invisible(or active Camoed w/e) swap all the shaders that have to do wit hthe vehicle with Shader Plasma/Cyborg/ shield hit. most vehicles have shaders in alot of different places so check all of the shader section.

its not really that hard
