Exploding Energy Sword...

Well, I was experimenting with the energy sword, trying to get it all glowy like it is in SP. I managed to get it to be glowy, but the sword explodes right when it spawns. Help please!

Sorry, i dont think you can get it glowy and solid....
the reason is because the elites are ment to spawn with them in their hands.
Then the elite dies, the sword explodes. Now, when you flip an elite out of a vehicle, the elite is holding the sword, but appariently the game recognises it has no ammo, so it explodes it. If its on the floor, then the game thinks an elites dropped it, so it explodes.
However, I think with some XML editing, you could add the glow to the plasm rifle, then model that into the energy sword

Would I be able to spawn with it in my hands? Or does the game make it blow up? :/

yer, it'll blow up, because the MC isnt ment to hold one, and if you change its user ID, then it still doesnt work :s

lol, so ur screwed basically, but, i think it can be done, but ull have 2 do some major scripting.

No i dont think so, ive seen this dont before... It has something to do with hexing, but not much(I think)
Someone would have to look at it with a hex editor and check a few things

Well, I did a very nice Energy sword mod waaay back. It IS possible to make it not explode. But it was such a long time ago.. I forget how
.
