Volley Ball in halo? Hmmm possible!

Ok i'm so certain ppl have thought about this, but I didn't want to spend the time to scroll through 200000 seconds of my life to read em all, but hey, that's me. Anyways, listen to this.

Have you "tossed" a standard issue fragment gernade class 1, (lol), straight up, like a ref in "basket-ball", and tried with some dudes to "rocket below the nade" before it hits the ground ANYWHERE???? even on say, a halo BG map, or, lol, maybe "gehphy??"????? because u literally could use it, as a volley ball of sorts, harder to see then the plas nade, but more effective because you can literally BLOW IT AWAY several times (did it already carefuly with 2 rockets, and another nade... but reload made me lose the 4th bounce). But..... I do suggest you try spreading out everyone (if u have 6-10 ppl) so that you can at least get a chance of "aiming" the blast of ur rocket or nade, in time, so u can "blow" it back to the "opposing" team.

Because hey, you could literally have volley ball in bg, just play standard bg, and use the "path in center" as the "line/net". and setup 2 hogs to determine the ends of the nets, and say, a few other hogs etc (make it really wide, cause that nade will go allll over the place). so that u have a designated "scoring area". lol, and if it's "otta bounds" make sure u've got something there to "cover" for that. Maybe use spark edit, and place in TONS of rockets so everyone, even if they don't have ur bg, they will still see the guns as a "guide line" no matter what the "conflict" of sides, if the nade was on the inside or the outside.

So, comments plz on the idea other then "it's stupid" or various similarily meaning words........ Something with a bit less flame, and a bit more feed back like. aka, postive great, and constructive critisism taking well. Other such language etc, well, depending on useage, isn't liked, but it's a free world to. :-)

This is a very cool idea! You can set up the field for Volley, and use a Plasma Nade (Better regconizable)!
I like it :D

lag would make it near impossible for more than the host to participate...im pretty sure, unless theres that no lag fix thing.....

The reason I suggested the frag nade more then the plas nade, is because when the frag nade is bouncing around it doesn't blow up prematurely, while the plas nade randomly does. (Even though u can see it better......). And regarding that lag issue, it's best for ppl who do it on, say, a lan network, OR, probably adsl, cable or faster and on the SAME CONTINENT at least. (To have the least lag possible, even have at least 2.4ghtz of a pc processor, 512mb ddr ram, and a good vid card to compensate for graphics also, aka all this plus same continent, plus cable or adsl = very little lag for everyone overall).

So, maybe someone wants to setup a test "site" for this.

The plasma nade's explosion time is random. Both grenades explosion times are set and they start after the first bounce. Unfortunately you can't directly hit a grenade with a rocket. You could make the speed slow and then give a lot of rocket ammo and turn off the damage and tone down push of the explosion and you could shoot the ground below it. Make the explosion time 0.001 or something so that when it hits the ground it blows up, maybe change the decal it makes to a sand smudge or something so it looks like it hit. And turn off the particle effects of the frag explosion. It'd be pretty fun too.

EDIT:  Didn't read all of the first post.

The problem is the collision model of the grenade. Maybe you could use the log mod method to size it up and do the same to the model?
