Yes I know it's a noob question but...
I searched, I tried, I looked for stickys but still no tutorial.
I am trying to mod a map so I have no ugly weapons or HUD on my screen so I can get a screenshot of something, but I tried a tut and it makes little sense and didn't work.
Can someone HELP?
Link to tut i tried:

I just want to get rid of the HUD and guns or atleast make the guns invisible or something-hey wait, hmmm I'm going to try something...
Anyway post if ou ca help and if you do post a tut mput in every last detail I'm a total noob.

I don't know what I mean by nulling, I've never used HHT. But I hear that a lot when people want something to not exist. Just null it out. I assume there's just a big null button in HHT. Maybe it just sets it all to 0s. So if you really don't want to use HHT, maybe you can extract the meta for all 26 or 27 of those and go in a hex editor and make them all 0s. I have no idea if that would work though. Or you could open up their xmls and change all the bitmap references to blank lines (maybe even just delete that section of the x xml) and rebuild.

OK, well you could do the grav rifle thing,
or
you could do what dan!! sed.
Nulling Out basically means you replace whatever with Nothing.
This is easiest in HHT, (if you dont have it, get it, its very powerful :p)
To null something out:
Open Map In HHT
(for you,) Find [weap] tag and expand
select a weapon
Select [Wphi] from the dependencies list.
at the bottom, change to nulled Out, and press save
Now, ingame. Pick up the weapon, and it has no HUD
To null out the FP model:
select the weapon
Select the 2nd [Mod2] from the dependencies list.
change to nulled Out, and press save
