Sentinel Beam?

I was bored today so I decided to try and make the pistol shoot out the lasers the sentinels shoot. So, I extract the beam, batch extract bloodgulch etc etc. But, when I swap the pistol bullet with the beam, Halo exits when I load bloodgulch. Is it possible to use the sentinel beam?

If you want help on this, either follow the directions more closely or explain what you did step by step...
