How would I make these kinds of mods...

Ok, I read the tutorial on this site and have been playing around w/ different weapons. I'm very excited so far and want to learn more. I have three different mods in mind, but not sure how to go about doing them. Could someone please breifly explain to me how to make them? (I just started modding yesterday, so I'm kind of n00bish).
1) Fire people using a weapon (ie assult rifle). (make soilders appear)
2) Fire grenades using warthog maching gun, NOT just drop them down!!! I want them to actually shoot out the greandes like it does with bullets.
3) Make banshees appear using any kind of gun. (but I want them to apper farther away so that they don't fall on you and kill you).
I've made mods similar to #2 and #3 myself, but I couldn't figure out a way to make them like as stated above.
Remember, I'm sort of a noob at this so bare with me if these are n00bish questions.

for #2,
this thread should give you a lead, and for the other 2, try looking around the forum or searching for a term like "shooting bipeds" and the such. Good luck.

I read the entire thread it didn't help.

Also, what's htm3 and how is it different then a normal hex editor?

ur 1 has already been made but only for i think sidewinder or its a snow map but it gets really laggy whether u play it on lan or online

If you wanna shoot cyborgs (master chiefs) then change the AR projectile to Cyborg (under the bipeds subsection). I dunno about the other two but if you want you can change the master chiefs collision model to that of a warthog (which will make you invincible). The only thing is that the soldiers you shoot out will be lifeless and just sit there.

Oh btw hmt is halo mapping tools, a program that is easier than hex editing but cant do everything that hex editing can (although it makes doing some things much easier). Its in the download section if you want it.

actually hex edit and hmt3 are in the utilities section and you can do all of those by simple offset swapping... its been posted a million times so search before u blab

what can hex editing do that hmt can't?

some meta stuff that really hasnt been figured out yet and hmt3 cant shoot bipeds u have to do that in hex and a couple other things

Yeah shooting a million master chiefs with an AR is fun and wouldnt be possible (yet) without hex editing.

You can use hmt3 to shoot mc's out of guns.

Oh yeah I remembered that you can change the projectile to the biped in hmt.
