I know how to make rockets homing and they can track everything that moves except for a covie tank. Try firing a charged bolt or a needler at a covie tank in sp. The projectiles can't track it. I don't even thing the recticle turns red.

What's so special about the covie tank that it can't be tracked by a homing projectile?

I know, the covies inbuilt an anti-homing device.......

While that may be true, that doesn't tell me how to fix it.

I think it has to do with the driver. Since you can't drive it, there's no where for a driver to sit (the one that flies out is created when it exploads). Since rockets track the driver and not the vehicle, there's nothing to track.

Now, how do I give it a driver?

I figured out how to put a driver in the tank, but the body of the elite sticks out of the top of the tank. This did solve the problem though. Can I make him invisible?

I dont think it has anything 2 do with that, cuz in TB you see an elite, jump into the drivers seat, they literally get dragged from halfway across the canyon if they arent near.

I've got it figured out now. You have to go into HMT under the vehicle tag and change the seat from wraith-driver to G-driver. This gives it the same seat as a ghost, but I have no idea where it puts the driver.

But, I was wrong before about not being able to drive it. You just have to change the seat to GT-driver, but this doesn't make it go by it's self. Also, the driver was always in the tank. He was just marked as invisible to the mc.

Yes, there are actually drivers in Wraiths (covie tanks). Some flag on the vehicle that determines if it's trackable is set to off. Also damage goes directly to the vehicle, not to the driver at all. Once it dies, the driver dies, unlike the other vehicles.

I think that the 'HEK plugin' for HMT (somewhere on the files forum) can change those.

I think that's what I used, but just making him trackable leaves half an elite sticking out the top of the tank. Then you can shoot the driver out of the vehicle.
