Would it be possible to remove PARTIAL particles/decals?

What I want to do, is have particles turned up all the way, but not see explosions, the dirt that gets kicked up from vehicles, the smoke from the guns, or the plasma weapons overheating. I still want to see the flash from the gun, so I know it's shooting.

I also would like to know, if I can have decals all the way up, but not see char marks from explosions, but still see blood.

My vid card isn't good, and it just seems like something is missing when I turn down the settings.

Well, I've made the grenade char marks look like a sniper rifle bullet hole (way easier on the vid card), but that's about all I got so far.

why not just put a blank texture into all the chars? i have sorta the same problem, except i have it with bloodmarks. drives me crazy that if i come to an area of heavy bloodmarks my FPS drops to 1.

Yeah, no shit. Like I said in the first post, IF YOU BOTHERED TO READ IT, is I don't want char marks, but I do want blood.

open up HMT, find the bitmaps for the char marks, replace their meta value with the one for cryoglass or something similar. (anything that shows up black in the viewer should work)
