well, look at the sp levels, they're FAR bigger then the multiplayer levels, yet, ABSOLUTELY no lag, so, it'd be hard, yes, it'd take alot of innnovation, but I think it'd be possible.
monkey, you gotta try and understand this, the singleplayer levels are all broken up into bits, and there are no AI's or anything happening in those bits when you arent in them, they arent even rendered.

woops, forgot about that. Well, maybe it's possible... *shifty eyes*
Yeah. You could do the same with the whole ring, just that it would be so FREAKING HUGE you'd never manage it unless you had like, a whole square kilometre of hard drives.

you mean ram... and even then... youd need a processor roughly the size of sydney just to handle it.
Still, it would be fun, I've played some of the new CE maps which although they aren't really even close to this, they do have a similar idea, different ares all linked up. Fun.
Think about it. One spore sneaks up and infects a Grunt. That mutates into a carrier, BAM! maybe 5 or 10 more carriers. BAM! another 5 or 10... Eventually you get combat forms in there too. Try playing 343 GS on legendary, see how long you can keep the Marines alive... and how many you lose...
