Editing the cubemap would make the things that use that cubemap change. I haven't seen many cubemap changes. Don't just Hue/Saturate it, try adding more or less detail to the cubemap.

Oh and edit it using ce, with pc it's only one side :p.

Thanks alot guys! I could use that shee! Maybe a in between red and gray cubemap?

EDIT: How about making the hogs have no wheels and make them leave flaming trails, as if they were flying?

Hey everyone! I finished making Sidewinder Swampy, and Death Island snowy. I still got a lot to do, but this mod will be awsome!

The ground skin on swampwinder is debatable, but hey, who am I to criticise? :P

The water needs to compliment the sky, and the sky needs to compliment the water.

Your water is blue, your sky is red. :S

Yeah but i've played on a map where Sidewinder is completley "melted" and when I ran into the water I still stood on top of the water. All they changed with the water was make it look like it was wet and put splashing sounds when you walked over it. You should try putting a shader over the water or remodeling the bsp so that it looks like the ponds are actually melted.

If that was kind of hard to understand for anyone, sorry about that :lol:

I believe you were talking about my junglewinder mod and no that makes perfect sense. Any modder who does ce know that water and ice or part of the bsp so you were not wrong in saying that.

Blarg, Im going to say this now. Do you know whats going to make and break this mod? Your attention to detail. Right now your focusing on the big things like the sky and what not and thats fine but your attantion to detail is what sets any mod part from the pack.

You know the first thing I noticed when I looked at your Sidewinder pic? The plama rifle is red but the glow from the end of it is still stock. Also, if you edit the cubemap for the warthogs "red" you will get a nice effect on everything. Thats a little bonus info also.

But someone needs to post pics of this on good gfx cause right now I cant make a judgement on its progress.

I read that whole thing with your voice...kinda like when someone reads a letter in a movie...the writter of the letter narrates it :P

I like DI.
and i like sidewinder, but the water and the ground seem...un natural.
But i like the idea :D

I think this mod is ready for release. The bitmaps.map is already too big to be put into halomods. So I'm going to have someone make textures for all the maps (Preferably indoor maps, like longest, chillout, chrion 1427, etc), edit the light maps for the p nade and pr, and easter eggs!
