Vehicles in Gephy

Post by uk_rose »

hi there.

I hope someone can help me.

I have been trying to get vehicles to spawn on the bottom of a Gephy map. So far, with my limited knowledge I have not been able to do it.

I have converted them to scenery and tried that method but that did not help.

I have also searched on this but have found no other topics that can help me.

All I want to know is, is it possible and if so, how ???

Please please help me out guys

Cheers

Rose

Have you considered simply opening Gephy in SparkEdit, and Moving the Actual Vehicles to the Bottom of the Map, instead of converting them to scenery?

Yes, that was the first thing I tried. The vehicles don't spawn at all.

use this, just ignore the bit about being able to destroy vehicles.

it is, theoretically, possible.
The problems is the "vehicle floor" that prevents vehicles from going under a certian point. This is a float in the sbsp tag, you just need to set it low enough for the vehicle to touch the bottem.

bcnipod, thank you for your help but it still won't work.

The tank spawns but then as soon as I port to the bottom of the map the tank flies up.

I tried going back to my original idea of making it a scenery item and it has the same effect, the tank flies upwards.

If you null out the physics tag, the tank spawns fine and you can get in it and shoot the guns, however, it will not move.

Any ideas ?

Conjure, I have had a good look at the sbsp tag but cannot find this tag, please could you point it out to me so that I can stop tearing my hair out.

Thank you for you input guys, this has been driving me mad over the last couple of days.

hmmm, that is odd, because if you had them drop down I believe they will stay there on the bottom. try spawning them to be really heavy, like that DeadHamster did, that why they can fall straight through the BSP floor.

I have tried changing the weight, spawing them at all different heights but it still won't work.

I think I will resort to screaming !!!!!!!
