I realized that in the config.txt file in Halo pc, trial, and ce, some cards are forced to have there pixel shader set to 14(1.4). im wondering, can you for example, under your graphics card type ForceShader=20 and have it force your pixel shaders to 2.0? I'd appreciate it if someone would try it for me as my graphics card (SiS 760) is not listed, otherwise id do it myself.
For those of you that still arent clear, just find your graphics card in the config.txt file located in your halo directory, then in a new line underneath your cards name type "ForceShader=20" without quotes.
Also, i remember once that i played H3mt narrows on a bad graphics computer, then when i played other maps, my graphics had shader 2.0, but all the models and everything were stretched and f**ked up, the problem was solved by playing bloodgulch on Halo Pc, which made me have bad graphics again.
id really appreciate it if someone tried this for me and shared the results.
Force Pixelshader 2.0 on bad gfx cards?
There is a way I know... Well I tried to force my shaders to 4.0,but then I realized something pretty weird - seeing through walls.
Anyway... right click on your halo shortcut and at the target thingy where you typed -console add -forceshader20... If that doesn't help go mess with the configurations... I changed them before and when I launch Halo it started in Safe Mode.
