Put covenant in a multiplayer map

Post by light »

I'm a beginner. I'd like to put some covenant in a multiplayer map of Halo 1 Combat Evolved. I'd like to make them shoot and to locate them where I want.
Can anyone explain me how?
(I already have Saprkedit, Halo Maps Tool 3.5, Halo Hacker Tool)

OK there are tutorials in the tutorials section that show you how to do this...

basically you Export the covenant from a single player map, Import it into a multiplayer map, fix the model, and make them spawn in vehicles...

Search in the tutorials section for how to PMI and how to Spawn AI's in multiplayer...

What's the meaning of PMI?

Are these the tutorials you are refering to? http://forums.halomods.com/viewtopic.php?t=52162 , http://forums.halomods.com/viewtopic.php?t=59268
Maybe I'm wrong but I think these tutorials help you to put Spartans in a multiplayer map and NOT, as I'd like, Covenant....

By the way, do you think this video can help me? http://it.youtube.com/watch?v=Bg86UZZ20 ... re=related

PMI is Perfect Model Injection... let me explain as simply as I possibly can...

when you want to put covenant into multiplayer, you have to take that character, with all its effects, skins, dialogs, models, and globals, and export it to your computer desktop into folders...

you then import all of these into the multiplayer map... but the import process screws up the model... so you then have to take the model's meta and dimensions from the singleplayer map you exported the character from and import them into the multiplayer map of choice...

after this process, you have your AI in the map, and as of now, the only way to make them spawn is in vehicles...

if you're on PC, you can use this:

and use this to make it respawn:

if you're on a mac, use this:

I thought the only globals tag was globals/globals.globals :\. Because globals mean like, something for everything.

Yeah, good one. The file 'globals/elite.foot' is for footstep sounds. If that file wasn't there, they wouldn't make any noise when they walked.
For anybody still wondering where FTD has gone, here it is.
