Destructable wraith, ghost and banshee...
Hey yall lol. Recently i PMi'd the wraith... It worked great and i wanted to make it destructible. Good, cuz it was already destructible lol. I got it from the b40 map, and on the same map they have a destructible ghost and banshee. So i figured. If I managed to get the destuctible wraith by just importing it from that map to BG, then why don't i just import the ghost and the banshee from b40, and boom, they'll be destroyable too. But I tried this, and this was not the case.
The two vehicles are different from the original two, because they are imported as "ghost" and "banshee", unlike the given multiplayer ones, "mp_ghost" and "mp_banshee"...
So how come these new ghost and banshees aren't destroyable????
And how can I make them so???

in HMT3.5
[coll] (collision model)
vehicles/etc (etc meaning anything you want)
Max health/Max body Vitality
Body Damage
Body Destroyed
This is self explaintory stuff right here.
go to regions, select a region and make damage threshold 1.0 (or any number you want)
Now for explosion effects. Open the same thing in HHT and on the third and fourth effects tags put in whatever you want.
(The third is damaged state, the wraith damaged state works fine)

Thanks. This wasn't the actuall solution, but you led me to the correct place.
When i went to the collision tag, and then went to vehicles/banshee, I saw that a flag was on that would only allow damage when occupied. I simply unchecked that box and problem solved, the banshee and ghost are now destructible.
I have one more relative question though. How do I make the banshee (for example) repair itself when it respawns?? When i destroyed it, it respawned STILL destroyed.
So how do i fix this??

Ryan...the reason it respawns destroyed is simply because thats what it is supposed to do...Doubt you could change it. Conure may know (And may prove me wrong) but i dont think its possible.
The reason destructible vehicles were only in campaign maps were because nothing needed to respond. So the vehicle would just stay destroyed. Now your making the game respawn a destroyed vehicle and the game doesnt know it needs to fix it.

Is this some crude work of a vulgar spellchecker, Andrew?Who knows wrote:Ryan...the reason it responds destroyed is simply because thats what it is supposed to do...Doubt you could change it. Conure may know (And may prove me wrong) but i dont think its possible.
