Would it be possible to make a weapon also give a powerup buff? eg. picking up Sniper gives Active Camo, picking up shotgun gives overshield, etc.
I'm pretty handy with HMT / HHT but I can't seem to figure this one out

um go through the dependancy swapper, and if you can then there should be a thing in there that you can swap with so that when you pick up the sniper you get active camo.

I apologise for the annoyance..... I just wish somebody would've given me relatively clear help about how to do what I asked in the first place instead of talking about advertising and whatnot
you cant have it so that when you pick up a weapon you get a powerup, but you can make turning your flashlight on give you a powerup. Im not sure how tbh, and I dont have anything installed to go mess around with stuff and find out, but hopefully me posting this will attract somebody who does know how to the topic.
i cant remember but powerups are not under the "proj" profile, so what you have to do is change name to weapons\something?\active camouflage then dependancy swap it.
or maybe you have to trick halo by changing the name to
weapons\sinper rifle\sniper bullet
otherwise i'm out of ideas
He wasnt talking about shooting the powerup, in which case you can do a quick meta swap/dependancy swap, what he wants is the actual act of picking something up to trigger that effect.
Checked with andrew_b, you can script it in CE to have picking up x weapon to activate y effect, but it wont be worth it really. Look through the sniper rifle tag in HHT, and try to find any "effe", and post any you find here, I'll tell you if I can find anything to help you.
