Gravity Gun project

So, im doing my own Gravity Gun mod,based on TomClancey's and Arma's Vacuum Gulch mod.

Everything is Movable\throwable (Everything!!including trees and rocks (but they probably wont do damage))
The main objects to throw and do damage are the wraith,lifepod, pelican and the other normal vehicles.
You can also throw the players themselves around the map.
Added the "no falling out of vehicle" script.

The gravity gun is basicly a modified push and pull gun of TC and Arma in one. (with slightly modified values)

Major Credit to the Halo 2 CE team for the gravity_rifle model, i did not made it!

I'll get a beta by Wednesday,just reply here if youre interested.

Things yet to do:
-skin the gravity gun
-skin a custom reticle
-skin the contrails of the beams to match the color of the guns core
-try and make the trees\rocks\any other scenery do damage when thrown

Heh to make rocks thrown you would have to change the mod2 of the warthog to a rock and get rid of the wheels and mess around with that abit..... I could do the skining if you like.....

i understand how you can "push" objects but how do you get it to pull?

Its kinda weird how it works, I dont even know why, but you give the projectile two different speeds, both really high. Arma posted it in the downloads section.

NOOO, that was ME >_>.

Hope to see this mode complete. I attmepted this in CE, but utterly failed >_>. I have a gun with secondary fire, but I can't seem to rebuild it into my map.

I still havent got Beta-testers? unbelievable...

I'll be a beta tester! I've actually had experience with beta testing: I tested Lego Star Wars 2 about 3 months before it came out. Lol.

I moved this project on to CE.
Easier map creation and such.

Just looked at the vid, very nice. But do you think it would be possible to turn off falling damage? It looked like they died alot from getting shot into the air with the grav gun and landing too hard. I'll be a beta tester, btw. I was a beta tester for Star Wars: BF2 multiplayer and LoTR Online.

heh yea if only , but however he does raise a point. U could add extra vehicles and just switch the mod2 model of a vehicle with that of a rock. However i dont know about the Collison model.

Giving a piece of scenery the physics of a vehcile would benifit this mod becuase in my experiene wen doing a simple projectile swap with a piece of scenery. When fired it just spawns it out the end of your gun and it stay wereever it was shot, be it mid air or in the ground. However if a vehicle is shot out of a gun it will obide by the laws of halo physics E.G. if spawned at a height it will fall.

you see what i am tryin to say right?

Cheeser you are mostly correct, but phenomenon made a plugin so you can change the x,y,z coordinates of the scenery so when you shoot it, it pops out say 40 units from you instead of 0.

ooh , nice plugin. i have been away form the halo modding scence fora whiel so not 2 up to date :P.

well good luck with the mod and if you need a beta tester just give me a shout!

lol im interested i couldn't get the pull gun to work when i tryed to remake it on a diffrent map

see,you think like me ,but... switching the mod2 of a vehicle to scen gets me an exception :/

but anyway,its moved to CE,so ill probably model warthogs to look destroyed and stuff :p

even wen using HHTV5 to swap the dependancy ? , yeah it will give you more fexibility doing it ce, good luck with it
