i usually find myself looking for a great place to put my uber l337 fort but if i put it in bg, u spawn and ur like hey theres a giant floating block above my head... :shock:

so heres an idea that would solve this... make the forts in deep crevaces. i can think of 2 or 3 levels that this works for. namely, gephyrophobia, damnation, and the new aotcr mod. in spark edit, zoom all the way out and look for the giant area sticking down. thats where theres usually a ton of fog and if u fall in it, you die.

so why not stick a room down there and teleport to it? that way, you cant get to it any other way, no-one sees it, and its not gonna do the whole *im ur comp and im gay so im only gonna load 1/2 of your awesome blocks :twisted: *

oh yea and boarding action... ive seen some really great mods done where the forts are on top of the ships. great idea! i personally am working on one for boarding action and as soon as i can get rid of the fog in gephyrophobia, im gonna make one there too 8)

so thats my 2 cents worth. and please, next time i spawn, dont make me see the all powerful floating block of doom that looks like its made of wood (metal, flesh...wait..)

so anyone out there have some good suggestions on how to generally improve mods? im not saying that the mods out now suck, cuz theyre awesome.

sounds good but u should keep the fog so the imperfect model injections wont be very noticable
