The HEK holds more potential than the current mods, really. The best current mods are the reskins, but the new maps are generally fairly dissapointing.

He was right... I started modeling for the Stargate mod Last June though, well before the game came out. I was expecting a swift HEK release and wanted to make the mod as ready as possible. That "Shit-for-brains-Grunt" was completely right. I made my first mdoels last april. April 28th, chat log confirmed.

No... You use the same tools to modelf or Halo that you do anythign else, generally.

When I made that F-16 I used Extrude, bevel, scale, move, rotate, and of course, editable poly. When I made the M16 for halo mod I used the same tools, even though that F-16 is not for halo. All of my mdoels except for one have been creations of editable poly, and that one exception was my first model, composed entirely of geometrical measurements. I didn't even know how to move boxes then... However, the models made for Halo are not any different than other models I've made, vbesides that I try to keep the polygon limit a little lower.

Santas elf, what was your idea? The Starcraft mod? Thats not a new idea, I'm just doing it to give myself something to do between now and when I start making a game (I am doing it, I'm creating an RPG (I'm working on it as a side project of the SC mod and FoH (Fires of Hell)))
