Importing Values

How did GlassJaw put the logs into the blood gulch map and up on the rock cliff in his gulch wars mod? Did he just change the values with some other scenery and move it in SparkEdit or did he put it in the map somehow and then move it?

If you notice, the trees are gone from the map... He changed the trees into logs, of which are in the map in the first place.

what he did was change the value of other scenery to logs/rocks then moved them in sparkedit.
