Putting vehicles on non-vehicle maps?

hmm... then how is it possible to put warthog chainguns in BG? I know it's a weapon, but I can't find any weapons in it.... just MP_equipment. and if you swapped a piece of scenery or something for it, it still wouldn't show up as a weapon, and thus I couldn't swap it...
