Im a Nub a halo pc moddin. plz help

I've made some small modifications to blood gulch(jump hight, running speed, etc.)and when i go into someones server it just looks like alot of lag to them and me. Is there any way to change this because it seem that when i make my own server no one joins. ANY help would be appreciated!

Alright

1. You cant use mods in other peoples rooms.

2. they either didnt join because you dont have your sever port open or, because they just didnt want to.

Thanks for the advice. 1 more question: if the port Im using is closed how would i find out and how would i open it?

What is a server port? I've noticed everytime I open a game no one joins and maybe this is the reason.
