how do i do this?

ive been trying to make it so that when i pick up a weapon it flashes white like when you pick up some health but i can't find what makes it do that so is there anyway that i can do it or no? and can i add an effect afterwards kinda like a powerup? like you pick it up it flashes white and then you can jump high?

If your messing with screen flashs and whatsuch in HMT, I'd suggest using Phenomena's final plugin pack... I've never messed with this so i can't help ya...

yea i was looking for an effect or something in the equipment tag and there is none so i have no idea

It's basically hard-coded into the Engine. So is what the powerups can do to you, like double-speed and such.
