Halo pc video cards

I am going to buy halo pc so i can mod like crazy!!!

But,i need a new vid card, can i use a GeForce FX 5200????

I have a ProSavage, which i think is old

I have a GeForce FX 5200 and halo does run on it but i have 2 turn the settings down :( . I suggest at least getting a 5700.

I highly recommend you get an ATI card instead. nVidia cards seem to have difficulty running DX9-intensive games, which includes Halo.

If you're on a limited budget, get a Radeon 9600 PRO. This is a slightly crippled version of the 9800 PRO, which was the best card available 'til the 9800 XT came out.

In other words, here's a list of cards in order from cheapest to most expensive that I recommend: 9600 PRO, 9600 XT, 9800 PRO, 9800 XT. Check out PriceGrabber's ATI prices if you're interested.

Good luck! If you pick any of the cards I listed (and the rest of your PC is Halo-worthy) then you won't be disappointed with performance or quality, I can almost guarantee it!

Im getting the 9600 xt
From what i hear the xt is the best for the buck of a mid range card.
It also comes with a free copy of Half Life 2 if that matters at all..

I cant afford the radeon 9600 pro, but i can afford the Geforce 5200, my friend has it and halo runs fine. Well, it is only $64, i dont have $200 for one of those radeon ones. :?
