Turrets help...

Post by GiantKillerRobots »

I got them into blood gulch fine, but then I decided to make them drivable. And that's when all the trouble started. Long story short, I ended up making them weigh 2000 (generic units) and they, I assume, would have the capability of driving, were they not bouncing around all over the map. They are going willy-nilly! Any ideas on what to do to make them settle down a little?

this might help....
B0LL made a mod a while ago which made all vehicles hover and the turret flew and hovered very niceley and it flew after you tossed a nade under it..

if you figure out how that works then that could help you make them fly right

oh in HMT they also need acceleration, top speeds, and accceleration.... just to make u think
h4xmb? mb.

After thinking about the situation, I have deduced this. I have acceleration, and the speeds, so that isn't the problem. The weight is the same as the ghosts, so that's not the problem. The problem seems to be that it REALLY REALLY wants to spin. So, I'm going to have to go through each individual part and paly around with specific weights and centers of gravity until it loses that tendency. UNLESS, someone here can help me out. You have been really helpful thus far, and any more help would be greatly appreciated.

No offense, but I don't see much of a point in this mod. All that will be different is that 2/3 of the 'Hog is invisible...

That is, unless you are going to make it so that you can shoot the turret and drive at the same time, which might actually be cool.

Right now I'l working on a turret mod for Gulch. 4 turrets on each base, and maybe 2 more out in the open. This sound good to you'll? Let me know anything else you'll want me to add to make it better.

OK! After re-reading your post, I discovered you were in the right place, you were just misreading(or I mistyped) my original post. I am talking about the Covie turrets, and I'm just trying to nail down the values to make them drivable. I am far too unskilled to even attempt the 'hog turrets.

Oh, I see. My bad man! Hey now, the Blood Gulch turrets mod isn't too hard.
