just starting to mod

i have just started halo online although i am not a noob at playing the game

and i wanted to start modding, someone plz tell me what i would need and maybe a link to a tutorial?

Well, the programs I have are:
Hex Workshop 4.1
Gmax(not sure how to work this one though)
SparkEdit
HaloMapTools(HMT) v3
Helpful Halo hacking Tools(HHHT)

Any tutorials that I know of would be in the tutorial section on this website.

Sorry (I forgot) if you want to be able to use the hex editor you need to download Iron Forge's offsets list (sorry I dont have a link).
