This is an interpretation of Mallion's A Night In Blood Gulch. It uses textures from the original version, but has been subtly changed. Enjoy.

Made for PAL by alpha112 and freek_palmer from A Night In Blood Gulch by Mallion.

EDIT: Version 1.1 now available: Changes: no sun.

Thanks to MonoxideC for HMT and Richie178 for showing me how to remove the sun. Also everyone else on the scene who has helped me learn what I've learnt so far.

If you have any suggestions for improvements please pose here.

I don't know if its my fault, but i used HHHT to apply the ppf, which it did succesfully.
The i used my FTP (Totalcommander) and overwrited the bloodgultch map.
But the mod won't work, its says dirty disk every time i acces where you select gamemode :(

Hey Alpha,

Nice work, great to see some other PAL modders out there. Gonna check all your stuff out tonight, and hope to be posting up a bunch of stuff on the weekend.

Hey tried it out last night...nice,
subtle and nice, just changed the mood.
What graphics prog do use to change/create your textures (as in photoshop etc?)

I exported the original textures from Mallion's mod, but you could use Photoshop and adjust the brightness and contrast of the textures. You need the DDS plugin (from NVidia) for it if you want to edit them though.

Is it somehow possible to make the level more dark, and maybe fill it with trees and bushes?

Yes it is possible, you'd have to:
-Extract all of the textures and darken them with Photoshop, then re-inject them
-Increase the fog so you cant see as far
-Use Sparkedit to duplicte and move the ferns, if you want big trees you can get them from Sidewinder or a level with the trees you want

It is possible, but I don't have time to do it right now, if you want to try, its not a hard job, it'll just take time. Also, you might want to try to find a way to get rid of the sun, although this wont make the level darker, it'll look better.

I'm working on a version of this at the moment.
The plan is to re-skin the map to give it a luna like landscape and alter the gravity to give it a moon/asteroid like feel.
If anyone would like to help feel free, us PAL users need some new stuff.

Edit: If someone could make a good powder-like skin to replace the grass it would be much appreciated.
