THE FOLLOWING IS BASED ON ASSUMPTION AND IS NOT FACT.
I am sitting here watching Goldeneye. for the 403 time...no joke I know it start to finish word for word scene by scene.
Any ways I have been pulling out semi subtle and yet important parts of the movie that may have influenced Halo 1.
1) James bond always is this semi invincible character that seems to never die, always getting shot at and being able to use every weapon at his disposal...
2) Goldeneye is space based where they have to stop a weapon in outer space from destroying a city (halo is a super weapon that destroys all life in the universe)
3) The number listed on the tank which has close to the same base as the scorpion tank is numbered 343 as in 343 Guilty Spark.
4) The gun James uses after stopping the train is a Scorpion or an AK74u alternate names...
5) Each place James travels to is set up by Money penny like Fo-hammer and mainly use planes to get to each destination.
6) The climax and end of the film is to stop the weapon from being fired and destroying London. Master Chief needs to stop Goldeneye from destroying London.
7) Boris is the genius that know everything and any thing about computers and how to hack things...Cortana is the same way.
8 ) The Radar James uses in the Z3 is nearly exact to the radar master chief uses
9) Natalya is also the same as Cortana she knows how to get to places and leads James to them. She also has feelings for Master Chief and Natalya is the same way trying to keep James alive.
REMEMBER THESE IDEAS ARE ASSUMPTIONS AND SHOULD BE TAKEN LIGHTLY NOTHING HERE IS FACT.
Is Halo 1 influenced by Goldeneye?

1) That describes primary protagonists in just about every game.
2) The two situations are quite different, the only similarity being that they involve space weapons.
3) The numbering of Guilty Spark is based on the number 7, as are the numbers of every monitor of every installation. This is customary of Bungie. 7^3 is 343 Guilty Spark, 7^4 is 2401 Penitent Tangent, and so on.
4) A lot of people use Skorpions.
5) Generic intel provider and easy travel methods. You wouldn't take boats, they're inefficient. Furthermore, they're moving through space in Halo, how do you expect them to travel? This similarity is not comparable because there is no alternative possible.
6) I would hope the goal of any plan is to stop something from destroying something. Again, a very generic situation.
7) Someone has to be, and it begins to be unbelievable if your protagonist can conveniently do everything he needs to do at any point in time. It is given to another character to drive the story.
8) I don't recall.
9) You're contradicting your original claims. If Cortana portrays two characters, then that is a discrepancy, not a similarity.
I see nothing that you have presented that can be assumed beyond a reasonable doubt.

So you only want people to discuss things if they agree with you. I see. If they disagree, they're being assholes, jerks, and Nazis. How very reasonable. I was in no way, being rude to you. I was discussing your topic. It's unfortunate that you have such an explosive temper and would go out of your way to send me two PMs, and flame me three times over the course of one PM and one post. Perhaps in the future you give more consideration to the comments you're making, especially blatant, unprovoked harassment because someone discusses a question you posed on the site. What is the point of posting it if you don't want people to analyze your claims and post accordingly?
And to answer your second, harassing question, shadowkhas was actually agreeing with me in saying that your claims are vague. Where are the copious amounts of rapid flaming for him?
You've immediately turned this topic into an argument and you even went so far as to PM me and insult me about it. You've lost your opportunity at it.
