I remember reading somewhere what the answer was... maybe, but the question is, how did the UNSC obtain the MJOLNIR armor? I remember it being either covenant or forerunner technology, or something like that. If anyone could find a wiki or something that goes into detail(I did search), that'd be great.

They made it.
As they progressed they took technology from others, such as the shields from the Jackal Shields they obtained.

It's all detailed in the books.
