Forgive me if this is the wrong place for this, I'm not really much of a modder, so if anyone wants to use these, go for it, I'd just like a place to post these. I originally designed these for Halo 3, but as it seems difficult to mod that, I'd probably prefer it on Halo 1, so any Halo 3 specific stuff would have to be removed or replaced.. The maps can be a little offscale (and undetailed.) This isn't a request thread, this is for comments on my map ideas.
First off...
Survivor
Map: Link
Size: Small
Recommended Gametypes: Slayer, Oddball, Juggernaut?
This map is based completely on the level for Survival on Marathon 2: Durandal (though I've really only played the Marketplace Demo.), with a Rocket and Lava in the middle and some weapons behind those walls. I can't really call this MY idea, but I'd like it in Halo.
Ranger Conflict
Map: Link
Size: Moderate
Recommended Gametypes: Team Slayer, Assault, Capture the Flag
Completely team-based, each team gets a launching pad for flying vehicles, then there's a corridor leading to a bridge where the main fight would take place, originally I thought that there wouldn't be anyway to get to the opponents area and for it to be strictly long-ranged, but then it'd be impossible for games like Capture the Flag to be played. If made for Halo 1 or 2, the Man Cannons mentioned in the map would be replaced with thin mini-bridges in between.
Circulation
Map: Link
Size: Large
Recommended Gametypes: Any
I always imagined Blood Gulch would be a staple in the Halo series, but then it wasn't in Halo 3 (Valhalla isn't close enough.) so I designed my own version. The bases are CONSIDERABLY larger and built into the Canyon with a passage way leading to a Hanger, where the flying vehicles would be. I forgot to add the Scorpion Tank to the map, but it'd be around the other vehicles, which each team gets a lot of. The Rocket in the middle is now on a thin bridge above the air, which requires one to go up the cliffs and through the caves to reach.
EDIT:
Charlie Foxtrot
Map: Link
Size: Large
Recommended Gametypes: Any
This would be Battle Creek's replacement as Guardian seemed to be to Lockout (or Valhalla to Blood Gulch), while it is very, very different than Battle Creek, it takes it place as the smaller than Blood Gulch non-vehicle team map. It's based on a certain area of the Halo 3 Level Sierra 117 (named after the Level Chapter it was in.), there are two sides, each with a circular base, one side has three bunkers to take cover and return fire at, and the other makes up for it with high-up on rock Sniper Positions as opposed to the other sides small cliff Sniper Positions. In the middle is a shallow lake that one can hide from enemies or get those flames from the Flamethrower (which is located in the top-middle of the map.) off.

My Halo Map Ideas
Sorry for Double Posting but I'd really like some comments, oh and heres some new map ideas.
Boarding Ruins
Map: Don't Have One Yet
Size: Large
Recommended Gametypes: Slayer
A remake of Boarding Action from Halo 1, I imagine it's like what happened with Tombstone and Desolation, it's a Halo 1 Map in a different environment but essentially the same map. It seems the two ships have crashed on Earth, to keep the main aspect of the level intact, there are waterfalls leading to falling death in-between the two crashed ships. The ships are crooked and broken, luckily their teleporters still work, plus there's always the option of Man-Cannoning across. (Not sure if the teleporters should be kept, they haven't been in a base map in Halo 3 yet, and I like the idea of Man Cannon exclusiveness.)
Factory
Map: Don't Have One Yet
Size: Large
Recommended Gametypes: All
An original one, ever wonder where those Warthogs and Mongooses come from? It's here, it's a large square factory, on two of the four corners are little mini houses with some windows that you can shoot through, good for taking cover. On the other two corners are stairs leading up to switches (and the flag.) once a switch is pressed, a Warthog will come out on a nearby conveyor belt, each switch can be pressed three times. Around the level are Mongooses being carried across by Machines through the level, shoot the Machines and the Mongoose will fall down, allowing you to ride it (you can also ride the Warthogs.), you can also kill an enemy with the Mongooses.
(And I know that Factory is probably not possible as a Custom Level.)
Submerged
Map: Don't Have One Yet
Size: Large
Recommended Gametypes: Any (need large amount of players.)
You are in a large building in the middle of the Ocean, the stage is split into two parts, the top part, where you spawn and the deep under ocean part, which you can take a bathysphere (under-water elevator basically, like in Bioshock.) to reach, there are two of them. There are many corridors and stairs to run through on the top level and many pillars to hide behind on the bottom level, I'll make a map soon.
(This one is also most likely impossible.)
Stranded
Map: Don't Have One Yet
Size: Small
Recommended Gametypes: Slayer, Oddball, Juggernaut
Thinking of how it seemed that Man-Cannons had replaced Teleporters, I imagined a very, very different Chiron, this isn't a remake. This map is set on a bunch of small little islands that you can Man-Cannon across, the Sniper Rifle is very useful here, as you can snipe unsuspecting people from a far away island.

Oh, about Survivor, I'm pretty sure the original had more sides then that so I may remake the map, two sides had Shotguns behind the walls, I'm pretty sure one had a Fusion Pistol (could be replaced with Plasma Pistol) and one had a Flamethrower, the Battle Rifles should actually be Assault Rifles (the original weapon was a Machine Gun with a Rocket Launcher attacked.) but I made that map thinking that Assault Rifles would be starter weapons.
