ok ive been playing halo demo for a while now but alot of the time when i use the pistol the bulets hit the player and he still lives with no damage. why is this?

This is called ping....You can check your ping by press f1. Ping makes you aim in front of the person you're shooting. The higher the ping, the more you have to aim in front of the person you're shooting. You can only shoot directly at sometime and kill them if you have 0 ping which is only what hosts have, they call this "host advantage". That's why when you're shooting directly at someone they don't die, so you gotta aim in front of em. Whenever you join a game always check the ping so you know how hard it's gonna be to kill someone.....Remember, the higher the ping the harder it is to kill.
