the answer to your problem is a three letter word, xdk - it comes with a debug bios and xbox video capturing software.
i can tell you this, i have a copy but i can't tell you where to get one

i dont think Halo works with the XDK from what ive heard.

your mostly correct. the main problem when using the xdk is the debug bios. You dont need a debug copy of halo, just a development box and a 256k halo bios for it. ive seen it done before but no one knows where the 256k bios is. If you know PM me. So this really isnt the easy way to do capturing. The easy way to capture is...of course witha Capture card. I can record in about 8 different qualitys. Ive got tons and tons of professional xbc matches. ITs awesome haveing a capture card

if someone tells me how to set up an ftp server (that has a password) i could probable put the xdk up for download then you guys could pm for the password or i might be able to post it to you on snail mail.

im have the xbox 1.6 and im use the last bios of Yoshihiro called "Yoshi-end-256k-2005_1.6.bin" or Yoshihiro Loader !
