Stopping the hit indicator!!!

How can u stop the indicator that makes ur screen flash when hit... I REALY NEED TO KNOW!!!!!!!!!!

This is related to the damage type used. I know using the Pistol/AR Bullet causes this to happen, as well as others such as the one used for plasma pistol and shotgun pellets, etc.... Use a damage type that doesn't show a flash such as melee, and don't use explosion for obvious reasons...
