quick spark edit question

quick spark edit question

whenever i try to load a cache file into sparkedit it says...."compiling Tag Relationships" and then will just say that for a really long time. is this normal?

It might be because the file is compressed, and you are trying to open it as a cache file. Next time, try opening compressed file.

well when i try to open it as a comppressed file it says "Failed to Decompress. The file was corrupt"

While it says, Compiling Tag Relations, can you move the sparkedit screen around with your mouse. Because if you can move it, that means that the map will never load and just stop trying. But if you can't move it, then that means it is still working to open up the map and you gotta just sit it out and wait. So tell me if you can or can't move sparkedit while it says "compiling tag relations"

you mght have the pathing set wrong go to Tools then Options and make sure the path is a Bitmaps.map file

I just had the same problem and I figured out why. You chose a chache file from the Xbox with no map in it. It was an empty cache file. Same probly happened for you.

FATALity911, the xbox maps do not use bitmaps.map... just a heads up ;)
