Multiple Mod Question

A bunch of my friends and I all play halo on a regular basis. 2 of us have modded xboxes. About 2 weeks ago I discovered halo hacks/editing. I have been pretty succesful with modding halo maps. The one thing i can't do is put multiple mods on. Lets say I put a...jungle gulch mod on. I take my box and go next-door, plug it in, and play it just fine. Now I want another mod like...forest creek. I'd run home and put it on my box then run back across the street and play. Is there some way I can have MORE than just 1 mod on at a time? How can I do that? Like sniping grenades, jungle gulch, and forest creek all on my xbox at one time? Is it also possible to make it so I can play jungle gulch...do some magic...and then play BG with a bansee.

I'm just looking for an easier way of allowing my freinds and me to play custom maps easier.

All help is appreciated

You could, I think, if you hex-edited the beginning string of a .map file so the game thought it was a map other than blood gulch. A search on the forums should tell you how to do that.

Taking Letiferlues advice I searched around a bit and found http://www.halomods.com/forums/viewtopi ... tiple+modsthis. Its pretty useful and may help some others that come across what I've wanted

you can compress the maps and make them permanent. it you look in the files section, ultramagnus let out a badass interface with a bunch of cool levels that you could use.

alright. I've got another question. This time its about zipl0cs tut. He says to make a custom map cd in his tut. How does it work? Just stick it in the drive as it was a real game? And it works ONLY for multiplayer maps, right?

Has anyone ever made a custom cd?

you can make a custom map cd and use up as much space as you can with the sp maps... yes, you can mod sp maps as well, just that with the mp maps, you'll probably only be able to fit the first SP map...

Ok, thanks. Another question. I just make the cd and then stick it in normally and it works?

hey i have this program its called Halo Cache Editor v0.5 and all you have to do is put the ppf's on ur xbox and oad the level then run the program and patch the level. Simple and saves u time by not having to run back and forth. ( patching the file may take a while depending on how much modding went on )

if you want it then...let me know and i'll figure some way of getting it out to all of you.

Oh and also you can easily change the speed and wieght and crap of the vehicles

and projectiles and looks and all this other stuff but skins and area ( you can do this by patching )

oh and one more thing... after you patch the file like say Blood Gulch then you must go to the cache editor and delete the cache file b/c if u patch the same map twice it wont work for some mods. I dont know why but it wont...then just reload the lv and patch over again. Enjoy

ok last post for this topic i hope.

Its not liek the editor v0.8 or whatever it says the name and stuff so you dont have to know the hex offsets and stuff. Simple for morons like me
