how to put mods on the xbox

i think this question has been asked lots of times so do what ever with this post but just asking how do you put the xbox halo 2 mods onto your xbox without xbox live?
do you use a thumbdrive?
please ask cause im a nOoB

First, make sure you have a modded Xbox.
Then, just FTP the files over onto it from your computer.

ok wait so you need a modded xbox and an crossover cable and this is for mac by the way.

edit: so do you need a mod chip for the xbox and is a crossover cable an xbox thing or a everything thing because i dont really know much about this.

You could either buy a modchip or softmod it.
Modchip - Costs money, but more open ended.
Softmod - Free (to an extent), doesn't have some capabilities a modchip has.

And if you want to just hook your computer straight to your 360, yes, a crossover cable would be your best bet in terms of money and simplicity.
