HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

I recently bought two of the duox2 modchips, installed one and everything went great. Except, I can power on the xbox with the eject button (like normal) and play games and what not, but when i press the power button, it turns on, shuts off, turn on, and shuts off again, then it turns on once more i shows me the error ring.

I have an xbox v1.6b if that helps. I have the mod chip set to data bank one


I just took the xbox apart and turned it on with everything still plugged in, but out of the console and i noticed the chip had a red led that would flash when i turned it on.

I'm guessing its an error led....probably not good.

I've never personally used those chips before but it sounds like either

A: Your kernal is corrupt or missing.

B: Your modchip isn't making a proper connection to the motherboard therefore isn't allowing the xbox to boot properly. Do you ever get a black and green error screen from your xbox after turning it on and letting it go through it's flubber animation?

uh no i don't, i don't get any screen, and thanks for the help i'll take a look at that site
