HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

I am really exausted of ideas for why this won't load!
Things I've Tried

Booting with no game inserted

configuring the config.ini to this

[HCE]
Region = NTSC
Skin = xbox scene
AutoSave = true

[Halo]
NTSC = D:/default.xbe

configuring it to this

[HCE]
Region = NTSC
Skin = xbox scene
AutoSave = true

[Halo]
NTSC = D:\default.xbe

Configuring it to this

[HCE]
Region = NTSC
Skin = xbox scene
AutoSave = true

[Halo]
NTSC = D:/default.xbe
PAL = D:/default.xbe

I've tried it with the cache full of maps and empty of maps
AND ALL IT DOES IS SIT SAYING "UNLEASH X LOADING"

I am in NTSC and I am loading off of an original halo disk. DO xbox live updates mess with this? DID THEY EVEN RELEASE AN XBOX LIVE UPDATE FOR HALO: COMBAT EVOLVED?

HELP! :

Try deleting all the stuff in your cache directories. Then load the game. Load the map you want to edit. Then reboot xbox and try loading the program.

i loaded Blood Gulch in split screen and then rebooted and loaded HCE and it still froze. I'll play around with the directories tomorrow in the .ini and see if it works, thanks for the help.

Maybe try re-installing HCE?
I wish I could help more.. I always use to muck around with this.
And no there were no Xbox Live updates for Halo. Didn't come with that feature.
