I know this is probably a n00b question but do you have to buy a new hard drive for your xbox when u get a chip? I know a few people who have like a 160 or 200gb hard drive put in there xbox w/ emulators and ALOT of roms. Also what is the best halo map editor program to use and that isn't very complicated. Well anyones imput will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Element

HaloMapTools (HMT) to mod map info (projectile damage, skins)
Sparkedit to do shit like scenery, creatin structures, movin weps and poewrups around.
U dont HAVE to upgrade ur hard drive when you get a chip, it runs just fine. I personally enjoy a bigger hdd because it comes with many goodies (emus/roms, backin up games so u dont need to load discs, thats just to name a few)
yep

as for a hdd, its not required, but its definitely a must
heres a tidbit some people might not know, the xbox can handle a 2tb drive, thats like 10000000000 gigs ( i dont think thats enough zeros) but you get the point

I'm pretty sure that a TB is "only" about a 1000 GB. In my opinion, a new HDD for your XBOX is not neccesary at all. I get by just fine without one. I don't know how you could possibly fill up the HDD with ROMs and Emulators. Maybe if you're playing a lot of high quality arcade games you could run out of room, but a lot of the games wont even run, so you're better off using you're computer for that. It is kind of obnoxious only being able to fit 2-3 XBOX games on the HDD at once, but if you just get a cross-over cable for your computer it isn't all that bad.

Anyway, you also have to make sure that you have the ablity to switch drives. Mine will not let me add another drive on.
