I can inject stuff into an uncompressed map and then change stuff around in it (changed the ghost texture to one of my own). But then when i use sparkedit to recompress the map into .map format that works on xbox the file ends up smaller than the original and i cant play it on ma xbox (says disk is dirty). Any ideas why? (and dont just say check the tuts cos i have already:-))

You can't rebuild xbox maps mainly because of the file size problem.

Why can't you add garbage space at the end to bring the file size to the correct amount? That's how bungie got the maps all the same size in the first place.
