ok if u want it under your name they're called avatars this is how u do it:
1. u find a image hosting site. this is wat i use www.planetsideimages.com*
pretty staright forward from there

if u want one not under your name but under one of your posts, they are called signatures aka sig's
use the image hosting site but in before u type the address of ur sig u put these [img]your%20hosted%20picture%20address[/img]
