Help with Halo modding

Okay well I got some mods for Halo I want. but I don't have room on my drive. I was thinking, can i compile them, and burn it to a DVD-R using Qtix?
Yes but you wont be able to play them off of a non modded xbox console.
Or you can do what I do and overwright the original files if you dont have enough space.
