HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

I have a version 1.0 or 1.1 Xbox and have installed a Xenium ICE(solderless) and it works fine, thats not the problem. My xbox is one of the only models that had the extra cooling fan in the xbox. Ever since ive installed the modchip i can hear the loudest noise coming from it when a fan turns on. It pretty much is like a vacum. Does anyone have any ideas of what i could do to take care of this problem? I was thinking of just watching what the problem was then possible removing the fan. Thanks

did u crank it up to 12v? i did that to my old xbox where u get an adapter and you unplug the fan from where it is and plug it in thorugh the hard drive cable and it make it more than 2x faster but louder

i believe in the unleash X dashboard there is an option to change the fan speed, if u have unleash X, check it out
