Modding the Xbox

I'm very new here to the modding community, and I need some very basic help. Is it possible to get and play modded maps/weapons without modding the xbox? Like by using a Pro Action Replay?
If not, then I hope to get my xbox modded by early summer.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

unless you want to soft-mod which i dont know much about, i would get a mod chip....for more information go to www.xbox-scene.com
