HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

Im not really that new to halo modding and xbox stuff but i left it all and came back a year later. I used HCE v. 7 and i had quite a few ppf's but none were as good as they are now. Well i downloaded a few of them and i tried to install them but it would always freeze when it was loading in halo. DOes anyone know why it is doing this? Also is HCE outdated? (havent seen it on the forums much) and should i just ftp the cache over and patch it on pc or just use HCE?

HCE is fine....but some of the caches you need to use trash bash on. It is a program in the utilities section. You run Trash Bash on your map, then you patch it and then load it up. Long process but it is the only way to use PPFs when you inject data at the end of file in the map without it getting corrupted.
