this is a rilly n00bish question
how can you tell what version of xbox you have?

Go to your Settings from your XBOX Dashboard (Main Menu). Then go to System Info. After the Licsense Info etc. you will see D: (numbers here) and K: (numbers here). That tells you which Dashboard and Kernel you have. Or you could use this: http://xbox-scene.com/versions_1.php
