i can't ftp

for whatever reason i can't ftp to my xbox with my system link cable, which i tested and know it works. so has anyone else had this problem and is there a different kind of cable i need (if so what)?

this could be a number of reasons...first if ur running through a router/hub then static ip under the settings needs to be set to no. also when you load up your dashboard does it tell you your ip adress?

It's what I used when I coun't FTP. This solved all my problems. If it still doesn't work afte that tutorial, then yoour pc is screwed up.
