Swap HDD

me and my firend were thinking and using the same method as getting a new HDD and installing it do you think you could take and unmodded HDD and put it in a modded xbox w/ the hdd swap hack and add a dashboard to the HDD so u can enable FTP????

yea, you can do that...
www.xbox-scene.com has some great tutorials, that is where i went to find out how to swap my hd with a new(unmodded) one

I did this with a softmodded xbox and a Slayer's disk:
-Run the exploit on the stock HDD, and insert the slayers disk. Swap the HDD with a new one, and run the slayers disk.
-Format in copy all the stuff to the HDD, and then lock it with config magic.
-Reboot the Xbox, and reinstall the software mod.
