Is there a way to make your own map in halo for xbox like editing the 3d elements and the whole level to your prefrences and put them back on the xbox to play, and if so is there a specific program to use cuz i already have 3ds max, but do i need something else to do it, and if so how? Thanks!!

Well, not to contradict rabiv88, but yes and no. You could make a new model of a level, create a piece of scenery in the HEK and inject that into and Xbox map as a giant piece of scenery(it is what they are doing for the fissurefalls conversion) and then place all spawns inside that.

Actually, you can...but I have no idea how. ViperNeo recently converted a CE map to Xbox. Full BSP, it's not a scenery object.

he converted two actually, the Tutorial map and then NMC. He wrote some program that converts and entire CE map to xbox.

Wait a second.....That got me thinking, would ViperNeo be willing to put the proogram he wrote on the net? Because all day I've been looking for an answer to a question much like this. And I am VERY interested in making new maps for Xbox, because my video card isn't good enough for Halo PC, and not having a job, it's a little hard to make money.

I believe his program only builds the xbox map out of CE tags. That means that any actual "building" of the map (i.e. Making BSP, scenery, textures, vehicles, or whatever) needs to be done with the HEK. And the HEK requires an install of Halo CE, which in turn requires Halo PC. Also, Sapien (a part of HEK) uses the Halo engine to allow you to move objects around, so requirements for it would be just about as high. So building an xbox map from scratch is just as demanding as building a CE map in HEK, except with the extra step of conversion.
