ok to fully use hxe you have to adjust your screen res to 1024x768 pixels
now you can open one map by file > open map 1
you can browse through all the meta's through the hiarchy

and some info will show up, three offsets, size, ident, filename, change tag class, save changes, save metadata, swap
normal stuff
now HXE best feature, direct injection
open another map, file > open map 2
now find the tag you want to inject into map 1 (from map 2)
and find something you want to overwrite in map 1
press, copy > direct inject (on the map 1 buttons(near the top))> save changes
copy is right next to save changes, direct inject is on the right corrner
what copy does is copy's the filename and tag classes so you dont have to do it manually, duh!
there are some awsome tools too
view map info, self explanatory you can edit some stuff there too, but dont screw anything up
hex float converter, in the halo map file there are some x y z coordinates called floats they will be 4 bytes 0000 0000, use hexworkshop to easily change em
i havent really used the refexive calculator, cuz most progs do it automaticlly
gurellia tag converter, first of its kind, it will convert halo ce tags to xbox format (sometimes)
insert data to end of map, used for raw data i guess, never had to use it
add tag to end of file, save the tag normally, fill in the filename and the tag classes, load the meta, load meta > find meta and select it
then add tag, reopen your map and direct inject it, a window will warn you that there's not enough space but click yes and move on,
and i forgot the metadata scanner, click a meta and click scan metadata, you can choose what you want to find dependency's reflexives shorts floats loneids, for dependency's highlight the dependency you want to change click on the dropdown box on the farthest left and type in the first 4 letters of the tag class (vehi, weap) and find your dependency and click update item, you can change the dependency change tag class by the dropdown box in the middle
